Megan Moroney Miami Concert reviews
Good, but could be a bit better
Venue, the first.
Around it, nice cozy feel, easy to move yet they need MORE seating around the inside perimeter of the venue. My wife wasn't feeling good and she needed to sit down often, but had to sit on the floor against a wall most often because there were very few other seats.
One thing is being served, alcohol also, but too many get too much in them and are allowed to walk around among those who aren't drinking, and some slosh their drinks so they spill on others as they walk...this can really damper an evening. Maybe the alcohol should be refined to certain areas; say for example, install two gates right through the middle of the main floor, just like goes around the back of the main floor. One one side, those who desire to drink, can watch the show on that side, on the other side, those who don't want to be subject spills and sloppy drinkers...yes there are several at each show.
Show, now for the:
In the 80's and 90's, I used to go to shows all the time and things for the most part were okay, yet now it seems each venue has to have the music so forcibly loud that distortion ruins the songs....there's no reason for this because We Are RIGHT There....we Can HEAR it fine...please don't ruin YOUR SONGS for US. It's not just Megan Moroney who did this....seems others do to, and it makes me not want to go to shows anymore.
Great GREAT artist's, you guys are MEGAN MORONEY, yet PLEASE lay off of the soft songs...YOU didn't gain us as fans because of things like Cross My Heart, Honestly, but rather we heard you from Modern Day Cowboy, I Wanna Live, Into The Now, etc.
The MORE you ROCK the more your CD's will move the masses. Trust Me on this...why did Van Halen 1 sell? Why did Appetite For Destruction sell? Why did your own Debut sell so well? I mean, I enjoy some of the songs on Simplicity, as it's a great concept, yet the same could have been accomplished via sticking to what moved us to being with. Stryper's recent CD got RAVE reviews because they went back to their very roots, of what drew the fans to begin with. Lincoln Park messed with their type of music, yet it didn't move many, so they went back to their roots, and their new CD is gaining great reviews. Here's one ore example: Aerosmith...their last record stunk. Yes they sold bunches when they went radio friendly, but that's NOT what gave them their niche. We know Def Leppard sold gobs of records with Pyromania and Hysteria, and you guys know them well...yes Song & Emotion is Fantastic, but those songs have more depth to them, and they have great structure....your newer softer tunes sound like filler, and it was so disappointing when I heard a sound bite about the song Taste My Pain, and it being suggested you do a harder record, and Frank comment "that's not who Megan Moroney is". Frank, you are one of the best music makers when you do the driving songs with an array of deep grooves, but the soft stuff isn't what your best at my friend. Yeah I know you won't see this, and I'll get slammed for these comments because that's what the net does....they disagree more than they consider what's been said in a constructive way. I'm always a fan, but Simplicity will only be heard here rarely, and I'll put the best songs of it on my own homemade collection, because the filler just isn't enjoyable. p.s. Time Bomb? What happened guys? The last half of that song goes places, but the first half is horribly arranged!
